------------------------------------------------------------------ So give me reason to prove me wrong, To wash this memory clean Let the floods cross the distance in your eyes-------------------------------------------------------------------
John strode down the hallway, his hands in his pockets. He was afraid of looking into any one of the rooms, knowing that he would probably see one of his cousins glaring at him. Like Tenley. Tenley just hated him. But he had a reason. Yes, he lied. He lied that he stripped away his powers. But he even had a reason for lying.
That was what disturbed him the most. Ever since returning from Sacramento, John just found that everything that he used to be was the exact polar opposite now. Even his attire. Freaking black. And what lay under his mattress, out of sight from Tenley and his mom. A gun. John was in the police force. Correction, he was in the Sacramento police force. Now, he was just in San Fran. With the police force. ..Freaking his little sister out every time he touched his gun. It was obvious enough that Tenley hated him now. No need to scare the shit out of her.
He sighed. Apparently, he had just made a mess of things by coming back. He stopped by a door to his left, knowing that it was Effy's bedroom. Effy. She was a cute kid. John shuffled his feet. He wondered if she hated him too. He knocked on her door and patiently waited, wondering if he would slam the door right into his face if she saw him.

effy was lying on her bed still in her pyjama shorts and top, gazing up at the white ceiling. It was getting close to two in the afternoon, she should be up now but effy just didn't have the motivation to move. She was scared to even move in case she went into the kitchen, food hell. Everything that was happening in her life right now was horrible, she missed the security of ignorance. She missed her sister and she missed her old life too. Effy pulled the duvet tighter around her emaciated body, she was freezing and just wanted to sleep. But the thoughts in her mind wouldn't allow her too. Effy closed her eyes for a moment, trying to remember the good things in her life, unfortunately she couldn't think of many.
Effy jumped when she heard the knock on her door, if it was her mother trying to apologise to her again she wasn't having it, there was no way phoebe brooke halliwell could make up to her daughter. Effy sighed and threw back the covers to her bed, she got up and pulled a hoodie over her head. She walked over to the door still half in a daze and opened it. Who she saw she did not expect to see, it was her cousin John who had only recently come back from wherever he had been. Effy had heard the arguments between John and Tenley and various other members of the family, she just tried to block them out. The blonde stared at him for a moment before reaching up and hugging him. She had missed him and didn't hold the same grudge that Tenley did. She did wonder why it had taken him this long to come and see her though, it did upset her slightly. She wondered if he had heard about her new power and demon heritage. Hopefully not because that would in turn give her a reason to be mad at her.
