~caterpillar in the tree((= how you'll wonder who you'll be =))*{can't go far but you can always dream}*butterfly fly away <3
the basement was never a good place to be for tenley halliwell these days. but it seemed the only place where she could get away from everyone's thoughts and ideas. because of her insomnia, due to her premonitions, tenley hadn't been sleeping well, and if she couldn't sleep well, she couldn't focus on putting up the mental block she had. just going down into the basement seemed to dissolve everything away, but she also knew of the risks that came with coming down here. first there was the nexus, and if that got a hold of her, then there was nothing that probably could be helped. tenley would be like her brother and her cousins. second there were her brother and her cousins, and the ensuing fight that would come along with meeting one of them. she was already thrown against a wall by savannah, she didn't want any more injuries, especially if there wasn't a whitelighter around.
she took a few cautious steps down the stairs and with each one, she heard the voices inside her head fade away slowly. that was the nexus's doing she supposed, but for now, she didn't mind at all. there was already too much craziness inside ten's head in the first place, having telepathy only added to the chaos of it. she gripped onto the banister as she walked, and silently repeated to herself the woogyman spell. she knew there was nothing to be afraid of, but ever since she was little and her aunt phoebe told her of the woogyman... well, it stuck with tenley, even after the very persuasive stories and facts that he was gone. here she was eighteen years old, and still scared of a childhood story.
gulping, she came to the end of the stairs and sat down them on them, just thinking of the nothingness inside her mind, and how well it felt to be like this again. ten could still remember when she didn't have her telepathy, and when she first got it. that was a nightmare of a day. she thought she would have to be locked in an insane asylum for sure, but when she started repeating things that her parents were thinking, or her brothers, then tenley felt relieved when it was actually the power of telepathy.
with a slight glance up, she noticed something in the shadows. something that wasn't one of the many pets that the halliwell children had in the manor. tenley's eyes widened to the size of glass plates and she slowly moved backwards while sitting, wanting to get outta there as fast as she could.

The basement, this was the new home for Alex and his three cousins. Of course they had magically made it to where they got their own room, but the entrance was like it was. Alex was in the shadows, he had just turned in his final draft for the story that he had been working on. He remembered back to when his powers first surfaced. the first one to come was Astral Projection, he was glad that he was at home. If he was out in public or even at school his family's secret would have been exposed. He remembered back to him at the age of four he was sitting on the couch watching t.v. like any kid would be doing, his mother had called him, she wanted to speak to him in the kitchen. Alex really wanted to stay in the front room. All of the sudden he was in the kitchen. The weird thing was he was also in the front room. It only happened for a second but he knew that it was not normal.
His mother also noticed and explained to him that it was normal for him to be going through these changes, next came the empathy. At first it felt as though his head was going to explode, and his Aunt Phoebe help him through that, but his last gift that he received no one could help him through. He was the first of the Halliwell's to have power over an element and it was water. He found that he could make it move, he could do all sorts of stuff and by the time that he was eighteen he could make it freeze. Alex heard some movement for the main house. He wondered which of his goodie goodie cousins or his brother and sister was going to face the big bad basement. Everyone knew that the basement belonged him his cousins and himself. Alex stood in the shadows waiting for one of them to come down. He was not really doing much of anything but relaxing. He stood there and watched as his little sister made her way down the stairs.
Alex stayed there a minute to see what his little sister was doing down here. It seemed as though she needed relief from everything. He did not blame her and he possibly could use this to his advantage. Alex started to move out of the shadows, just then his sister noticed him or rather noticed that there was something in the shadows. She tried to make a run for it. He used his astral projection and meet her at the top of the stairs. He looked at her and smiled and then said "Hello Tenly how nice of you to visit. Don't tell me you were about to leave before saying hi?" Alex had not really meant to scare her but it was funny to him at the same time. He was still in astral form his body was still in the shadows he looked at his little sister waiting for her to do something.

starting with a sigh, she breathed in and out, trying to relax. the thing with tenley was that she was a bit too uptight at times when stress came upon her. she was exactly like her mother that way, and she wished she wasn't. in a way, she was a lot like her mother, even if no one, even tenley, saw it. she was dedicated to everything she did, especially music, and tenley was a bit of a rebel, though the adult prue really didn't approve of it--but tenley knew that that the teenage version would probably give her some props. the voices were still there, even if they were faint, and she just wanted them all to go away. she didn't ask for this, and she certainly didn't want it.
the emerald green eyes that were like her mother's and her father's squinted into the darkness, hoping to see whoever the hell it was, but she couldn't. she wasn't used to the dark like the four were, and she didn't want to be. tenley hated the dark, she hated everything about it because it felt like whenever there was darkness, something bad would happen, and she didn't want anything bad to happen, to her especially. that's why she hardly ever slept. her premonitions were always horrible, and just everything to do with darkness (where it wasn't a party or a nightclub) was bad. she gulped again, and shook her head, trying to focus on whatever she could, not wanting to be afraid.
yes, she tried to run, but she was unable to, because the moment she moved around, so she could walk up the stairs and get out of there, she saw the astral form of her brother, alexander, standing there a smile on his face. her breathing got heavy again, and she took a few steps backwards down the stairs, which was also a mistake in her mind. "alex..." she said, not wanting to meet his eyes. her hand cautiously reached up to her neck where her fingers, with her nails painted pure white, touched a faint, yet noticeable scar, made by him. he had frozen water and used it as a sword, and during the fight, it cut so deep that the doctor's thought that maybe she would never talk or sing again.

Alex looked around the room, it wasn't small but yet not that big either. It was just enough space for about six or seven to sit comfortably. Alex's sapphire eyes looked almost black in the darkness, it was funny before he was taken over by the Nexus he was a normal well not totally normal but normal enough he wore other clothes than black or gray. But now his wardrobe consisted of black shirts and black jeans. Before he was consumed by the nexus he would never think of laying a hand on his little sister, a few years ago he would hurt anyone who tired to hurt her but when he started to turn everything seemed to piss him off or annoy him. He use to support his sister's singing, but no he could care less about it. He tired to convince her that joining him and their cousins would be for the best but Tenley just would not listen to him. She called him things, this raged his fuel. Alex had always had a short fuse but when the name calling started it was all but to much for him. He knew that she really did not have an active power but he did, he could manipulate water, he could drown people, he could do all sorts of things, but his favorite was turning it to ice and using it as daggers or even a sword. He had done this on this occasion he had turned water into a sword and launched it at his sister, he did not want to kill her only make her think twice about calling him names. When their mother had found out well actually she walked in on the last part she grew frantic.
She rushed Tenley to the emergency room where they saved her. Alex felt no guilt about it, the way he seen it she had it coming. Alex looked at her now, her hand had moved up to the scar that he had given her, a bigger smile came to his lips. He shook his head and said "Now now now, I do not wish to fight you, I only wish to talk. After all you are my younger sister right?" There was sarcasm in his voice, everyone knew that well. He had always been a smart ass and would always be. He looked at his little sister and then back to where his body stood. His blue eyes never leaving hers, she may refuse to look at him but he liked to look at people when he spoke to them. Alex moved a little closer to Tenley, he had his hand outstretched, he knew of course that she would not take it. He guessed that she was scared of him, and there would be a reason for that. He did not think twice about killing innocents or good witches but it would take a lot to actually kill his own sister but he knew that it might come down to it and he figured all was fair in love and war, and as people told him this war was going to be big. Alex waited on his sister to do something, or at least speak to him.
Alex looked around, there was not much to do in the basement, the only time he actually came down was to get some sleep. Of course he really only slept a few hours in the day, he had college and his job and that took up a pretty good hunk out of his sleeping time. He was finally glad that he had gotten his report done on the governor and now he would have a little free time. He thought about going to the underworld and seeing about getting some more people on his side, but that could wait after all he had already gotten the vampires to join, next would be the Furries, or at least he would try, if they refused then he would probably end up killing them. He would need another one of his cousins help. Alex knew that he was strong but he knew that he was not strong enough to take out a gang of Furries. Alex was still waiting on Tenley to say something the smile still on his face his hand still outstretched.

~caterpillar in the tree((= how you'll wonder who you'll be =))*{can't go far but you can always dream}*butterfly fly away <3
tenley's green eyes and alex's blue ones (though somehow darker than she remembered) met and she knew he was thinking about that day. it was in his mind, the thoughts about it, and how he felt about it. of course there was no concern towards her or anything. all they wanted was her, and the others. he wasn't alex anymore. she had to keep remembering that. he wasn't her brother anymore but her enemy. but there was something there inside tenley that knew that he was good, that something had taken him over. she wanted to save him so badly, but like all of prue's kids they were both extremely stubborn to boot. one wouldn't go to either side if their life depended on it. however, in the past months there was something brewing in tenley's mind about going over, with the slight chance that she might be able to save him. but it wasn't an option, no one would ever allow it.
she saw his smile from a glance up and she fully looked at him when he spoke to her , anger in her eyes. tenley hated him so much, what he was doing to their family. he was the first one to change, and it broke everyone's heart. "you know that i know that it's a load of crap alexander..." she said, using his full name (knowing his slight dislike of that), with a lot of distaste, as though she had just eaten some type of food that she hated. "and just because i'm your sister doesn't mean that you won't try to kill me... again..." she added. she could hear the sarcasm. the same tone that she used so often with everyone else. as he stepped toward, extending his hand, tenley took another one back. again, she knew that it had to be a trap. his real self was back there somewhere, and she was just inching herself towards him.
since he had changed, he had become an arrogant asshole. okay, so he was slightly arrogant before, another trait she too inherited, along with pride. tenley had too much of it to admit that she wanted to take his hand. but she thought of her parents, of johnny, of the rest of the family. one decision she made could change everyone's lives in the future. with a gulp, she blinked her eyes, trying to hear what her brother was thinking. something about vampires and the furies...
ten knew of her brother's powers with water, and it was why she was afraid of it. tenley never went near water, because she knew what alex could do with it at any single time. beach trips were never an option before, and showers were also nerve-wracking. . she knew that he wouldn't actually try to kill her, but scare her enough. however, it didn't mean that they would actually try. sav did, and she could've succeeded if ten was thrown a bit harder at the wall. however, tenley was a fair person. "what do you want to talk about...?" she asked.

He could tell that Tenley was scared he could tell that she hated him. Did he care though, no he didn't he could careless if they all wanted him out of the house it wasn't like he had to live there. The only reason that he did was becuase Chris, Savannah, Liddy and himself decided that they should continue to live there and move into the basement. Other then that reason he would have left two years ago like he intended to. Alex planned on living in a dorm, of course that was when Cory was still at the same college now though he preferred the solitude of the basement. He could get away from all the hate that presented itself upstairs. The nexus seemed to cut off his empathic abilities as opposed to when he was up in his old room he could feel the entire house. Alex looked at his sister, he knew that she resented him, he knew why also or at least he had a hunch anyway.
He guessed that the rest of the house resented the four that lived in the basement becuase they still had to live by their precious ruled. While the him and the rest of the four did not. They did what they wanted when they wanted and no one stood in their way anymore. Alex could remember when he had to abide by the rules and such, he hated the rules. Now he used his magic for personal gain, he punished the wicked, or good if you look at it from the others perspectives. Alex's train of thought was cut off when his sister started to speak, the loathing in her voice was like poison. Then she did something that very few people do and not die. She called him by his full name. How he hated his full name he went by Alex that is what everyone knew him by and that is what he told not asked people to call him. His smile quickly faded, he looked at her and raised his hand. His Astral self disappeared and his real self came out of the shadows. He looked at her, he raised his hands. He always had water near him, he could not create water out of thin air he had to be by water. Soon there was a water ball in his hand. He looked at her and said "My name is Alex, and that is waht you will call me!"
He let the water ball drop, he did not want to fight. He literally had no energy to fight. And then she began to speak again talking about what he had done to her last time, and then what Savannah had done to her. It seemed as though Tenley was the one that got picked on a lot. But hey someone has to get picked on. He looked at her and said "When are you going to let our little tiff go, or are you always going to act like a spoiled little bitch? And you are lucky that Savannah didn't kill you, but then again she was only playing around" Alex moved to her sister. He had nothing that would hurt her, he actually would really like for her to join them, but it seemed as though that was never going to happen.

she had to remain calm, she had to, though she didn't have any powers to loose control over. unless you counted her premonitions, and that was only at night basically. but tenley when she wasn't calm, well she could be as fearful as the source himself at times, though that side was very ever rarely shown. she was a natural fighter, as she was the baby, but not just in verbal, but physical as well. she had been taking lessons in martial arts since she was seven, and it was apparent that she would never get an offensive power like most of her family members. aunt phoebe herself taught and took tenley to classes, and the rest of the halliwells knew that in hand-to-hand, ten could whoop serious ass.
tenley could instantly tell, not by thoughts (as her power was slowly slipping from her), that her talking to him like that was, well, it was irritating him. she knew that he liked to have control over her, after all she was the baby of the family. yeah, right, like tenley did anything that anyone told her to do. but it seriously gave her some pride when she called him alexander and it got to him. she knew there would be no other person who could do that and actually live to tell the wonderful tale. but the pride faded away when he disappeared, and fear again took hold of her body. suddenly, she turned back around and she saw him there, a ball of water formed in his hands. tenley wanted to scream, but she didn't. she had to fight her own battles, she couldn't call on mommy whenever she needed. she needed to be a big girl.
but he did something unexpected, and the water fell. she could've taken the chance and kicked him where it really hurt, but she wasn't a dirty trickster like the rest of them. plus she was wearing platforms, and if they did get through this and the evil inside him was destroyed, then tenley did want to have nieces and nephews one day. "i'll let it go when you get the hell outta here and start being my brother again! she yelled at him. she walked up to him, and looked up. suddenly, out of nowhere, her gloved hand came up and smacked him right across the face. "being a bitch is better than being alexander, the great and terrible!" she said in an angered, yet totally mocking tone. she didn't know what had come over her, and she was liking it, though it scared her on what it might be.
"guess i am lucky, but you guys are the unlucky ones..." she said, in a knowing tone. she always got this way whenever she had a premonition about her family. but it was a bluff. she had to play the cards right, and hopefully it would scare him. tenley was good at lying. she always was ever since she could talk and she could talk her way outta anything. but she was playing on a partial fact. she did have a premonition in one of her dreams, and though she wasn't certain about the outcome, she had to make it like she was absolutely certain.

Static was in the air between the two siblings, you did not need magic to see that. There was once a time when they laughed together at all of the other stupid things people did but now it seemed as though all that was left was fighting each other. Alex looked at his sister, he could see that she was getting more and more bold. Alex did not like this, he did not like the fact that she came down to his part of the house and then was going to act like a bitch to him. Alex was not the sort to let anyone get away with anything good or evil and not that he was in fact evil he sure the hell was not going to let her talk to him like this. Alex looked at her his sapphire eyes getting darker and darker, he was getting more and more pissed as the moments went on. He watched as she looked surprised when he dropped the water ball, he was tired and his emotions were getting the best of him. Alex continued to look at her, he watched as she moved dangerously close to him. Alex would have never let anyone else this close to him. If they were that close then they would have been dead in a matter of seconds.
Alex watched as Tenley began to scream at him to be his old self again, all he could do to that was laugh. He would never be his old self again, he didn't know how. Alex seen his sister move even closer he would tell her to back up but he knew when Tenley got this upset there was no telling her what to do. He looked at her and said accused him of trying to kill her. He looked at Tenley and said "For one I will never go back to my old self ever so back off of that subject. And two princess if I wanted to kill you I would have done so, but so far you are more valuable to me alive bbut things can change."
Then Tenley said it again, she called him Alexander, he hated that name and then she compared him to that foolish mortal. That was another mistake. He looked at her with fire in his eyes and said "Don't ever compare me to that stupid ass mortal I am far greater then he ever was, so why don't you stick to you singing and live in your fairy tale world then face facts, when this battle comes you know who is going to win. So I hope for your sake you choose the right side. Alex was beginning to get really pissed. Then out of nowhere he felt a hand collide with his face, he knew that his sister knew martial arts, and he also knew that she could pack a mean punch and if he would have seen it coming then he would have defended himself. But he didn't and he rubbed his cheek afterward. He looked at her and a smile came to his face. He did not want to have an actual fight but it looked like there was going to be one. The next thing he knew he had a water ball and he threw it at her, sure water doesn't really hurt but then again he can control water even the tiniest drop, he looked at her as he seen it going after her. He then said "You just made a big mistake."

fighting. she didn't want it to come to this, but tenley knew it would. it always did, no matter what and it wasn't just because they were siblings. they chose sides, and it was coming between them. sides always came between everyone. hey, just look at that whole twilight thing. tenley could tell that alex was getting pissed off. good, it showed that there was still some human left inside of him, because if there wasn't, tenley would probably be dead right where she stood before she even ever said anything. but that human part probably only existed because the evil four needed their siblings trust to get them over to the dark side. because she was close to him, because she was calling him names like a little kid would, tenley knew that he was in there. he really was and she was going to get him no matter what, even if it actually did kill her. so long as her mother was happy.
he laughed at her, a cruel, demeaning laugh that chilled tenley right to her very bones. she didn't like it, because it reminded her of something, and she didn't want to be reminded of whatever it was. "you know i won't... i'm not stopping 'til i get him back... that's one of the things we share... we're too stubborn, and you know how far we go to get things that we want..." she said, a smirk of her own coming to her face. "i'm valuable to a lot of people... so what's the price...?" she taunted. like she would ever take the offer, there was only thing she would take, and it would be a freezing cold day in hell that it would ever be offered to her.
"what!? afraid that that stupid ass mortal is suddenly going to come to his senses and kick some ass? sounds like you are..." she said, hoping that maybe what she was saying was true. listening to him though, it was hard to think about. what would happen in the future? ten knew she had a definite career as a singer, she gained early admissions to julliard and the nyu school of music for god's sakes, if a label didn't take her and her music, then there was nothing left for her. and tenley promised herself that she wouldn't use any sort of magic as soon as she was in the real world, living and doing whatever she would be doing. she promised a long time ago, and she was one to keep her promises. but she knew that it was her fight too, and she couldn't just abandon everyone. "why though... why couldn't it have been me..." she asked, looking up at him with tears of anger in her eyes.
then that smile again. it always freaked her out, even when they were younger and he did it for fun. then it was headed right towards her. the water. tenley fell backwards on impact, and she scooted back towards the stairs and she tried to get it off her. she was drenched from head to toe, and she looked up at alex, eyeliner and mascara running down her face. she was afraid now, afraid of what he was going to make his element do. "just get it over with then! one less goodie-goodie you have to worry about! go ahead alex, i've got nothing you want when it comes to powers... i'm just a stupid little girl who knows nothing! just drown me right here and get it off your mind already!"

Alex looked at Tenley, sire she was his sister but she had gotten away with more then any other person even Johnny would get away with. Speaking if the perfect son he had not seen his big brother in about a week, Alex guessed that he was off living the dream so to speak. Alex and Johnny never really had a good relationship, to Alex he would never get of of Johnny's shadow. Johnny was the first to walk, the first to get his powers and so on and so on. He was so sick of hearing about Johnny and his accomplishments that he could barf. Sure people praised him on his writing but it was nothing like what Johnny got when he finally finished a song or whatever he was doing. Alex looked at Tenley, if there was another person there then they would have already would have been dead, but Tenley was not just anyone she was his little sister and no matter how evil he had became he could not kill her. But he could scare her, he could show her that he was not to be messed with. After all they were all taught that their powers come from their emotions and right now the emotion that was present was anger lot of it to.
He looked at her and moved his hands, where there was water on her was now frost, not ice just frost. It was just to give her a nice cold. He then said "You know that I can't kill you, you use that to your advantage but let me warn you again Ten, do not mess with me or my plans. I might not know how you are feeling at the moment, but I can always guess what you are thinking. I do not need your power, I am your big brother I have always stuck up for you. But that is about to change. I can not keep sticking up for you if you treat me like this."Alex could not believe that he was telling her all of this, but it was true he was her older brother and he had always stuck up for her. Sure he was a little snobby, a little stuck up but hey he knew that he was worth and will not settle for anything but the best.
Alex looked at her, she looked fearful, that put a smile back on his face. Not the sinister one that he had on before but a pleasant one, it would remind people, the one that was in photos upstairs. He looked back at Tenley and then he needed a cigarette. Alex reached into his jacket and pulled out a box of Marlbro reds and took a cigarette out. He lit it and took a hit. The smoke came out slowly and then he looked at Tenley and waited for her to do something, anything. She was still looking at him with that sad expression on her face. He could not take that face. He looked at her and then something crossed his mind, she was scared of the basement, of the woggieman what on earth made her come down here. He then said "Wait your scared of the Woogieman why did you come down here, hell mom couldn't get you to help her bring up Christmas decorations last year, why the sudden change?" He waited for his sister to speak.

~caterpillar in the tree((= how you'll wonder who you'll be =))*{can't go far but you can always dream}*butterfly fly away <3
tenley looked up at him, in anger and in sadness. she was lucky she wasn't dead at all, and she was happy, but still. there had to be good in him still, because that fact remained. she was alive. she knew if it was anyone else, especially johnny, then they would be dead probably as soon as their feet hit the basement floor. it scared her to think that alex could really do that, but she had to get used to the fact that he could, and he wasn't scared or afraid to do it and regret it like anyone else would. being the baby of the family was a title that tenley hated, and now she adored it. it gave her a slight immunity to the cruelty that her brother held so deeply towards their family. she knew it couldn't last forever, but at least it worked out now.
she looked down at her drenched body, watching frost appear all over her, almost like snow. she shuddered. if the basement was cold before, it was like living in the arctic right now and considering what tenley was wearing, it felt so much worse. the look she gave him was like a sad, homeless puppy on the street that no one could resist. as he spoke, tenley listened carefully. "i'm t-t-treating y-you l-l-lik-k-ke h-how you'v-v-ve t-t-treat-t-ted m-me..." she chattered, as she huddled her body together to try and get warm. "you think-k-k that-t i-i l-lik-k-ke b-b-being a b-b-b-bitch t-to you...? i d-don't..." she added. it was true, tenley did not like treating her brother this way. even if he was evil, she had a great respect for him, and his writing abilities. when tenley first started songwriting, she would usually go to alex for help with words and lyrics, while johnny would mostly help with the music part.
her eyes still held the largeness of the puppy expression. it was a talent that had come to her. somehow her eyes could get bigger and larger when she wanted them too and she used it to her advantage. now sitting on the freezing cold floor of the basement, freezing her ass off in her self-made skimpy school uniform, she just had to look at him like that. the back of her mind was calling for a plea of help from her big brother, and she watched as he lit a cigarette. no surprise there. when a look of realization came upon his face, she moved herself ever so slowly to sit on the step as he asked her why she was down here. "telepathy... it's not easy to know what every single person in the whole neighborhood is thinking all at the same time. trust me, it wasn't easy coming down here. i stood for twenty minutes at the top of the stairs..." she explained, the chattering teeth still coming through on her speech. "and i helped... i just waited until she came up and handed me the boxes..." she added with a growl.

The room was still dark, Alex walked to the end of the room and flipped the switch on. A single bulb was hanging in the center of the room, it cast an eerie glow over the whole room. He could see his sister better. He looked at her, her clothes covered in frost. Sure if it was normal frost it would have done melted, but it was made by magic so it was colder, much colder. Alex waved his hand, the frost disappeared. Still water remained, he still did not have full control over his powers like once water was on something like clothing he could not remove it completely. He looked at her and then looked at his basket. It was full of clean clothes, he knew that his pants would fall off of her but it was better then nothing. He also picked out one of his plain black shirts and a belt for Tenley. He walked back over to her as she began to talk. She was stuttering which meant that she was still cold he dropped the clothes he had gotten and then said "How I have treated you, hmmmm lets see for most of your life I have treated you like a princess, lets see who was there for you when Kale pushed you down and made you cry. Who was there for you when you were trying to control your powers. It sure the fuck wasn't prefect Johnny. No I was. And actually I think you do like being a bitch, to me maybe not but to the other people not including our family yeah I do." Alex still held his smile. He looked at her and then pointed to one of four doors, it was weird that there were four doors in the basement but each one of them lead to one of their rooms. Alex's was the furthest right.
Alex looked at his sister and then sighed and then said "Go and change before you catch a pneumonia. The pants might be a little to big but I also grabbed you a belt. And I have a question since when does Savannah cover more of her body then you do?" Call Alex weird but he was still not use to seeing his sister dress like that, he was still use to the girl in a ankle length dress and pig tails, she was six of course and not eighteen but hey he was her big brother and everything. He waited for Tenley to get changed, his room was decorated in mostly dark blue with a silver trim. Everyone expected his room to be all black with posters of bands that scream into a microphone but it wasn't his room was classy, elegant to say the least. He had a kind size bed with a dark oak head and foot board. His comforter was dark blue. Of course there was a dark blue rug, also a desk in the corner and a lap top placed atop of that. His room was neat and organized. He had always been a neat freak, Alex hated messes.
Alex was still waiting for Ten to get out of his room, he finished his cigarette and put it out in the cement floor. He sat down on the steps and looked around. Most people thought it was scary living in a basement but not him he actually kind of enjoyed it. Sure he did not get many visitors but he liked his privacy. Alex had not slept in two days, there were dark circles under his eyes he put his head in his hands and waited on his sister to come out. He looked around and noticed something, there was a box filled with Christmas stuff in it. curiosity got the best of him and he made his way over to the box, he opened the box and began to look at the stuff and then he picked up something that he had not seen a a while, it was a red bulb and in white it said Alex's first Christmas, 2005. Alex smiled but then he heard a noise so he put it back in the box and turned around.

the light was flipped on, and tenley's eyes began to hurt from the brightness of it. okay, maybe it wasn't that bright, but compared to the darkness of the basement before he flicked it on, well, it was kinda worse than the voices fighting within her mind. she watched him go to his laundry basket, and pull out some clothes. she only prayed they were clean, and she figured they were. he was a bit of a neat freak after all. as he put them down, more like dropping, next to her, she picked them up and examined them. well, she had worn boy's clothes before, but they were mostly old, old hand-me downs from her brothers. she didn't mind though, ten loved wearing anything, so long as she felt comfortable in it. and let's just say half of her wardrobe didn't say comfort, but to tenley it was. "i'm talking about recently for your information..." she said, picking up the clothes and standing up. she could feel her knees still shivering, and her jaw was still chattering slightly. "you think i've forgotten about that...? well, i haven't. and puh-lease, i'm a bitch to everyone else besides you... but i still don't like it... i'm just... tired... really, really, really, really tired," she said, rubbing her eyes, and smearing the eyeliner and mascara even more. she didn't mind. she had to get in a bath later anyways.
she looked towards his room, and cautiously moved. she had to keep it in the back of her mind that it was a trap or it wasn't a trap. she looked back at him and bit her lip, walking into the room. she had heard his comment, and it made her smile as she shut the door. it was almost like hers, except there was no purple accents and the blue color was way darker, and of course no posters on the walls or musical instruments or paper scattered about. boy, he sure was neat. tenley didn't mind the odd mess now and then, but she didn't like her room when it was super messy like johnny's was. she looked around and put the clothes on his bed while she took her soaked one's off and put them in the empty hamper near by. putting on the too bug jeans over her white lace thong. she tightened the belt and came out, putting on the black shirt.
quickly, she grabbed her wet clothes and shut the door again. she put the clothes over in one of the other hampers. she didn't care who's it was, everyone did laundry upstairs now matter what their saide was, so she'd get it back eventually. "ha ha. very funny." she said with a sarcastic tone, coming out, the black shirt as a half top, tied with one of the bands around her wrist. the giant lower back tattoo of roses stood out from her tanned skin, and she rubbed her hand along her back, hoping there would be warmth. "since i didn't want to start wearing any of those old clothes that were hand me downs from everyone else. and trust me, my clothing isn't the least of anyone's problems," she added. her green eyes looked around as she watched him turn back around from the box. she knew what it was, there was writing on the side of the box. "mom misses you, i can hear her cry every night... even when i'm sneaking back in at three in the morning..." she whispered.
