Standing by the sink in the house, Jordyn let her fingers fall over the water that currently filled the silver abyss and gently began motioning them creating little ripples that almost resembled waves. Jordyn loved her power of aquakinesis don’t get her wrong but she didn’t really see what it could do to make her life more interesting (not that magic was suppose to make things interesting or so her mother said). From the giggling beside her however she presumed little Aaron liked the fact that mummy could manipulate water especially at bathy time. That was Aaron’s favourite time of day. Although daddy may disagree with that one, saying father and son time was much better than bathy time. Jordyn found herself smiling at the thought. Lukas had been out an awful long time now and she was beginning to forget why he went out in the first place. The two theories she had were … one there was some sort of emergency at magic school or two he actually went to do the shopping. The second one she highly doubted but it was a possibility after all; she had been whipping his ass about doing it all week.
Slowly moving her fingers from the water the small ripples subsided and the water went back to its original tranquil state. Stepping to the side Jordyn placed her arms forward gently putting them under little Aaron’s arms and then cradled him into a lift. Looking deep into his sea blue eyes she let out a small shushing sound to sooth him. The house was awfully quiet without Lukas and this was the time when Jordyn found herself missing him the most. Sure enough she knew he couldn’t spend his every moment with her. Hell there had been years before they met where she coped fine without him but just recently she found herself needing him more, wanting to know that'd he always be there for her and their son. Upon glancing down at her hand she smiled. The ring that currently decorated her finger was a sign that he wasn't going to leave the two anytime soon or at least that was what she hoped. but as they say it may take a lifetime to make a decision but it only takes a few seconds to change it. Jordyn knew Lukas well enough however to know that if he didn't want this, any of this he wouldn't have let it go so far in the first place. The guy had morals and this was what made Jordyn fall for him when they exchanged that first glance in class at magic school. It was your typical one look said it all kind of thing. Jordyn had never been the most upfront sort of girl but when she had her eyes set on Lukas, nothing, absolutely nothing could changed that. She saw him as "the one" and still does. forever and a day.
It wasn't until there was a slam at the door that Jordyn snapped out of her blast from the past. "hello?" Jordyn called breifly not knowing who or what it could be.

So, uhm, grocery shopping? Yeah! That's what he was going to be doing; grocery shopping! He had sort of promised that he was going to go do some grocery shopping because, well, because they needed the groceries and Jordyn had been whipping his ass about going grocery shopping all week. Plus, he figured that she needed some more time to think over the question that he'd asked her not too long ago - well, this morning. Not because she had said no, or that she'd said 'maybe', in fact that was quite the opposite. Jordyn had said yes and now Lukas was ecstatic. Over the moon. Floating on cloud 9. It was awesome enough that they had been together for so long, but now they had bore a child together and he wanted to spend the rest of his living days with his two most favourite people in the whole world wide. Proposing to Jordyn had proved that this was most certainly the case. Then again, he had promised her that he would spend 'forever and a day' with her.
Forever and a day.
Unfortunately for Lukas grocery shopping wasn't as easy as Jordyn made it out to be when they all went together - this was largely due to the fact that Lukas was the one entertaining Aaron in the shopping trolley whilst Jordyn was the one putting everything into the trolley. Suffice it to say that his attention span whilst shopping was 'nil points'. He'd always been too engrossed on keeping Aaron happy on shopping trips than what was going on the basket. Though, fortunately for him, Lukas knew that there was necessary items that needed to be gotten! Yeah, like, uhm... milk! Yes! They needed milk, that was definitely a necessity. What about bread? Did they need bread or did they already have some? Lukas couldn't remember. It took him a long time to figure that out and by the time he did figure it out, it was kind of late already and he knew that bath time was almost up.
However! Lukas managed to grab all the groceries that he thought were necessary, including a newspaper, ice cream, some chocolate, a bottle of red wine, some candles and some roses (he had a plan for these later on). Not necessary grocery items, at least not by Jordyn's standards; but for his standards? Of course they were necessary, and needed for tonight. Yum. It was around six fifteen when he finally pulled up outside their house and fallen up the stairs. He collected himself before he dropped everything and let himself into the house. "Hello?" Lukas shook his head, a smile forming on his face. "Honey, I'm home! Did someone forget that another man lives in this house too?" he asked with a chuckle, moving into the kitchen as he started to put the groceries away.

jordyn was slightly shaky in her grip on aaron when she heard the slam of the door. sure enough she knew lukas was accident prone, well that was actually probably an understatement he was more of an accident disaster. but he could honestly work on his enterances into the house for her sanity at least. jolting aaron up on her side, she got a better hold before response to the sentiment she then heard echoing through the house by the one and only. " oh my!? how could i possibly forget about rocket. the other male in my life. it wouldn't be complete without him, would it strange voice from the kitchen?" she murmered with obvious tease present in her voice as she followed the clanking and churning. lets just say jordyn feared for her kitchen's safety. the poor groceries never stood a chance with mr desrosier. when she finally made it to the doorframe she leaned on the opposite side to the one which was holding aaron. " wow this is a sight for sore eyes. a strange voice that can pack away groceries, aren't we truly charmed." jordyn stated glancing down at aaron before cooing ever so slightly. tilting her head back up she smirked before entering the kitchen fully.
luckily the highchair was where she left it earlier so it was easy enough to slip aaron in it for the time being whilst she took a more serious approach to welcoming home her boy---- actually her now fiance' as she should say. wow she really needed to get used to that word it wasn't exactly the easiest to pronounce. oh god she'd failed if she had to spell it out as well. motioning over to where lukas was she carefully took the milk out of his hand in fear he may drop it then she'd have to clean it up. "darling, i love you but please step away from the breakables." she whispered in his ear before planting a kiss on his cheek and sending a glance to their son as if to say 'go be daddy whilst i do the rest of these'. picking up some of the stuff, jordyn shook her head. real necessary some of these were by lukas standard maybe but not exactly stuff she could provide for the family with. " a newspaper? of all things you buy a newspaper." jordyn said aloud mainly as a statement rather than a question as she threw it. yes threw it onto the breakfast counter. well since he bought it they may as well make use of it for a morning read.

Actually that was probably true. Lukas did need to work on his entrances into places a lot better, especially his entrance into their house. There had been a couple of incidents where he'd left the house for a few moments to put the trash out, or grab the newspaper and he'd come back in and tripped over his own feet - or the rug - crashed into the umbrella stand and made it all fall down with a deafening bang slash crash slash dull thud slash elephant footsteps. Scared the living daylights out of Jordyn and, accidentally, once, woken Aaron up from his nap. Actually now that he came to think about it, Lukas had also said their dog Rocket, too, but that dog was already off his rocker so that didn't really count, did it? Hm.. He would like to think that it didn't count. Jordyn's sanity and Aaron's awareness came first. Lukas vaguely wondered if there were any crash courses in 'how to not make a spectacular entrance into your own home and scaring your girlfrie-- sorry, fianceé and son like you do already with your clumsy personality for dummies'. Probably not for 'dummies', but he figured it was appropriate. Very appropriate.
Lukas shook his head when he heard Jordyn's retort to his statement. "Oh, that's how it is, is it? I've been replaced by a senile dog who thinks that barking at his own reflection in the mirror and patio doors is a wonderful game, have I?" He sniffled to emphasis his joking response and continued to put the groceries away since she hadn't come to stop him just yet. He put the bread in the bread bin, the newspaper on the counter and was just about to put the eggs away when a familiar head popped around the corner of the kitchen and startled him. It was a good job he had a firm hold on the eggs otherwise they'd be scrambled. And not the good scrambled either. He quickly put the eggs down on the counter and turned his head, sticking his tongue out at her whilst she put Aaron in his highchair. Lukas pulled the milk out of the bag and shuffled a couple of steps the left where the refigerator was. Only, he didn't make it that far before Jordyn was at his side and taking the milk out of his hands before he could put it away himself.
He wrinkled his nose in protest but that didn't last for long as she placed a kiss on his cheek and glanced over at Aaron. Yay, father son bonding time. The best time of the day. Lukas grinned and returned the kiss to his cheek with one to her nose and skipped, yes skipped over to a burbling Aaron. "Mm, but hey, it would have been your fault if I'd have dropped the eggs and the last time I dropped the milk nothing happened, so there's no need to worry at all." Lukas stuck his tongue out at his son who giggled at him and put out his hands to be picked up. Reaching his hands under Aaron's armpits, the twenty three year old picked the little boy up and cradled him in his arms, sliding one hand under his shirt and leaning his head down to blow raspberries on his bare stomach. Aaron wriggled around and giggled, he burped and finally stopped at the mention of a newspaper, turning his little head to stare at his mommy as though she were an alien or something.
"Hey! I got the bread, the milk and the eggs, I don't know how to do grocery shopping; I always keep Aaron content when we go; you know my concentration levels are sub par above keeping Aaron entertained in the shopping trolley at the supermarket."

Jordyn couldn’t help but laugh slightly at the response she got from Lukas it echoed through the house full of cheekiness. ”did you forget that you walk into doors and probably your own reflection if it popped up to say hello?” she jostled back at him, meaning no real harm of course. Jordyn and Lukas were known for their coupley banter and she didn’t see this changing anytime soon. If she was being honest she wouldn’t want to stop their petty arguments after all without them they would’ve never got this far together. It was not only their love that kept them together but the constant bickering and race for topic hot spot. Some would say the two are too alike but Jordyn would disagree, they may be the same in many contexts but they are also extremely different in others. For one Jordyn isn’t a walking disaster area for a start and she isn’t as interested in her gifts so much as Lukas was. Well thinking about it he did actually work at magic school so it’s kind had to be on his mind twenty-four seven whereas Jordyn was a bit of a yummy mummy, her only priority being their son. Some may call it lazy but for Jordyn, Aaron was a lifetime commitment, when you give birth to a professional mess maker after nine long months you really know the meaning hard work. Cry, sleep, poop, cry, eat, burp, sleep, puke the cycle with baby Aaron was a never ending one. As they say though you only live once and this was something Jordyn would have to go through to reap the rewards of motherhood and now it seems marriage. The bombshell was still to hit home fully. She was excited yes, she’d been dreaming about the moment for a long time now however she always wondered whether married life would be the life for her. Well they were about to find out anyway. Jordyn liked to keep a positive outlook amongst it all.
Being close to Lukas in that small moment before he moved over to Aaron was enough to put her mind at rest. He was home ultimately mean he was safe and she wasn’t alone. ”I’m not scary enough to make you drop the eggs, other things perhaps but definitely not the eggs. Last time you dropped the milk, I had to clean it up, that is a worry right there sweetness. I already have one mess maker.” she beamed somewhat. The part of her response about him dropping things could be interrupted many ways and she knew this all too well. Every girl was aloud a bit of teasing time every now and again were they not? Jordyn cautiously put the milk away in the fridge before watching Lukas take Aaron into his arms. The stare she was then giving said it all. That saying about actions speaking louder than words was definitely true here. Both of her boys giving the bewildered look was enough to send Jordyn’s mind into the mist of ‘what did I do or what did I say’. ”Three items of stuff we actually need is a good start for you. There is hope for you yet mister. Yeah you get the easy job a flying sherbet lemon would amuse junior there.” she replied conscientiously a warming smile crossing her lips. glancing at her watch breifly she then looked back up "beddy time soon..."
