"Okay so you'll come by later on then?" Prue asked on the kitchen phone while she stirred spaghetti sauce that Piper had left behind since she had to get something, with a spoon at the same time talking to her husband that was on the phone. "Okay. Alright. Well hurry back home I miss you." She chuckled. "I know I know but I still miss you. I love you too. Bye." She hung up the phone and set it on the counter, tested the sauce by taking a swipe at it with her finger and nodded then set the spoon down. Since she also was looking over some photographs that laid on the table, she decided just for once use her telekinesis to keep stirring the pot. So the moment she sat down she flicked her two fingers and the spoon went back into the pot to keep stirring for only a bit then flicked her wrist again and while the spoon rested back next to the pot, the stove was turned off. Prue was the only one home-her kids were out, Alex was somewhere with the Evil Charmed Four, Andy was out as well, her sisters were out doing something, so were her nieces and nephews, while she had the Manor to herself. It is quite quiet she observed but that's not a bad thing. Now she can get her work done. "Okay onto work," she mumbled to herself. Hopefully it'd stay that way but then again anything happens at the Halliwell Manor.

"oh, that is just fantastic." stephanie; the sixteen year old whitelighter had just been up in the elder realm, giving them some information on the darklighter that had attacked her the other day. one of the elder's explained to her that this darklighter was probably one of the most skilled ones that she'd encounter - bar none, plus demons and warlocks. stephanie had nodded her thanks and ran off to her little room to change out of her current clothes and into some that weren't quite as... as covered in paint and... stuff. yes, that would be a good idea.
once she was all cleaned up and raring to go, stephanie decided to check in on her charge, annie. smoothing down her white shirt and black button vest type thing, the little red headed girl orbed down into halliwell manor; straight into the attic. one could never be too careful, you know? "annie? hellooo?" she called quietly to no-one in particular. shrugging when she got no answer, stephanie wandered out of the attic and bounced down the stairs. she slipped into the kitchen behind prue and moved straight to the counter where some sauce was simmering. "hey, this smells really good."
if ever there was a person or whitelighter that was good with the element of surprise then it was stephanie. she looked briefly over at prue and took the spoon in a slender hand and stirred the sauce around. she remembered that the last time she'd done something like this there had been stew everywhere... mind you though she had been sitting on the counter at the time. so, uh, hopefully prue wouldn't remind of her that time. hopefully.

Prue turned her head to watch the girl walking by her and then watched her as she walked up to the pot and had commented how it looked really good. When she took the spoon to stir it, Prue got up. "No no, its okay you don't need to stir it. I just stirred it," she told her. She remembered the story Piper told her about her spilling the stew, and that was when she quickly walked up to her and gently took the spoon out of her hand. "Uh maybe you should just get something to drink and sit down, okay? Because well I don't think I want to see the stew incident happen again. Also Piper was making this sauce and wanted me to check on it and the last thing I need is for my sister to get angry because it was spilled. I know it wasn't totally your fault last time but let's just uh prevent it from happening again, okay?" Hey at least she wasn't like Piper. She just don't wanna see Hurricane Piper happen again, that's all. "Oh Annie's not here though. I know I checked around when I came home, you're probably looking for her, right?"

oohh, steph hoped that she wasn't getting in trouble with the eldest halliwell sister for just stirring the sauce and complimenting it. she knew that piper would probably flip her lid if she caught her stirring the sauce. she might knock it over again, not that it was her fault in the first place. there had been a demon (if she remembered correctly) and she hadn't meant to knock it over, it had been an accident and she had apologized and cleaned it all up by herself, without help. what were the chances that she was going to do it again?
then prue told her that she'd already stirred and stephanie nodded, looking around the kitchen with the spoon still in her hand. at least this time she wasn't sitting on the counter, right? prue took the spoon out of her hand and stephanie took a couple of steps backwards, away from the sauce and from prue. she figured piper had told her about the stew incident and that she didn't want it to happen again, even if it hadd been an accident the first time. which was probably why prue told her to get a drink and sit down instead.
"oh, uhm, i can do that, yeah." stephanie nodded, slightly disappointed that she didn't get to stir the sauce, but nonetheless she smiled at prue and grabbed a glass from the cupboard before filling it with the filtered water from the refrigerator and sitting down at the island with it. "of course i'm looking for her; well i should know where she is at all times, but uhm, she's off the radar at the moment and i know that nothing bad is happening to her because i can't feel anything, so, she's not in any immediate danger." stephanie wasn't sure that prue knew she was annie's whitelighter because she'd not long be assigned as annie's charge.
