* a cry of hope, A PLEA FOR PEACE, (and my conscience beating, it's not what i want for, it's all that i need to reach the break of the day). Well, that was a lot of fun. Stephanie had barely escaped an attack from a Darklighter and was now buzzing around in the Elder realm as though she were on a sugar high. She was supposed to be concentrating on her work and the gathering of information but that didn't seem to be happening at the moment. They said it was because of the influence of the Darklighter attack, regardless she should still be concentrating because she had work to do. Unfortunately for the Elders, Stephanie was one of the youngest Whitelighters they'd ever had, hence the childish attitude (which only happened occasional) and the lack of proper behaviour; though she was very good at knowing when to shut up and when to speak. It was her concentration that needed to be worked on, yet she was like an angel information board. Stephanie could gather as much information as was needed, and more, at the snap of her fingers and present in a manner that suggested she was much older and wiser than the age she was percieved to be.
Unable to get her to calm down enough, the Elder's sent Stephanie down to Earth with strict instructions to gather as much information as possible about the Darklighter that she'd encountered a while ago. She figured they just wanted to be rid of her for a few earth hours so that they could concentrate on the work that had to be done. Either way, she didn't mind because it meant that she had more time to spend with Annie, who she considered to be her best friend. Sometimes they tried to work out exactly what happened to Stephanie before she became a Whitelighter but always came up short. The spunky little red head had started to wonder if the Elder's were keeping that information away from her deliberately, as though there was something so horrifying andandand... disturbing about her past life that they didn't want her to find out because it might... it might corrupt her and turn her bad, or something along those lines.
Smoothing down her t-shirt, Stephanie orbed into Halliwell manor, straight into the kitchen where she figured someone might be. It was empty. Using her legs, the sixteen year old made her way around the whole house from bottom to top and then top to bottom before she declared the house empty and moved back into the kitchen, getting herself comfortable on the counter; green eyes scanning the many jars and vials of potions and potion ingredients that the Halliwell's always had on offer. Someone outside the house was thinking about something that made the girl cringe. She stuck her fingers in her ears and blocked out all of that person's thoughts, building up mental walls to hide them. Eventually she heard a car pull up in the drive and the sound of a key clicking in a lock, the door opened and footsteps on the floor. It was Annie, yay!

* want to break the ice, LETS MAKE IT NICE, ••••••••••• step, clap, step , clap. why in merlins name was annie at a dance class you may ask? well you see her latest charge in a sense was a dancer and the only way to get close to him was to take a class and gain the trust. the problem with that was, well annie has two left feet when it came to ballroom. so these classes turned into so much more to her rather than just actually helping this poor guy find love. in a way he was helping annie more than she was helping him. oh the failure that was this. her father would be deeply ashamed. then again there's always that card 'well you fell in love with mom on the job' couldn't annie fall in love with the art of dancing whilst trying to help someone? probably not because it would take a million years for dear old annie to find rhythm to a track that was so slow. by now we've established annie can't do ballroom dancing however this didn't mean she couldn't dance at all. oh on the contray, annie could move. she could get low with the best of them but the dancing annie liked to do actually didn't require that much concentration you see. there's always a flaw in a plan you want to achieve. chucking her towel down on the floor, annie smiled at andre. andre was the guy afraid of love or more specifically the consequences of falling in love. but through these lessons annie was beginning to see a new light within him, one that would shine even brighter once she revealed what she could do for him. pulling off her dance shoes and putting on her converse annie happily skipped out of the class for today, she'd do some more work with andre at a later day. for now all annie wanted to do was get home and have some rest. whatever that was.
the journey in the car seemed to go without a hitch, which for annie was a great sign. perhaps the rest of her day wouldn't be so doomed like usual. pulling into the drive at halliwell manor, annie got out and walked up to the door, fitting in the key and pushing it open whilst briefly glancing over her shoulder. dropping the keys in the pot beside the door inside as well as her bag, annie wandered through the hallway before coming to a pause in the dinning room, upon hearing a sound. who would be roaming the house this time? a demon, a warlock, her sisters, her mom? oh god she hoped it wasn't her mom, too much trouble would come from that encounter. for one effy if a half demon, who flipping forgets to tell there other daughter that then baby sister is a demon mix? slowly walking to the sound annie let out a small gasp seeing who it was making themselves at home on the counter. "god steph, you trying to give me a heart attack. wait why are you here alone anyway?" annie teased, her voice actually wasn't as stern as the words should sound.

* a cry of hope, A PLEA FOR PEACE, (and my conscience beating, it's not what i want for, it's all that i need to reach the break of the day). The counter was comfortable and she wasn't about to get off of it any time soon. Well, ''any time soon'' meaning the moment Piper Halliwell came in the door and ordered her to get off the counter - she remembered the last time that had happened; there had been a stew brewing on the stove and Piper had scared Stephanie so much that the poor little girl had practically fallen off of the counter and had taken the stew pot with her, at the same time. There had been a whole lot of mess that Stephanie had cleaned up herself, because she didn't want the help; she may have needed it, but she'd been a little stubborn and had cleaned up the whole kitchen herself. She did believe that it was all her fault, so she took all the blame and the consequences. It was hard work, especially without magic, but in the end Piper didn't stay mad at her for very long - no-one could stay mad at her for very long, there was just something about her that made people smile whenever she was around. Maybe it was just a natural flare, something she'd had as a human but had been amplified the moment she'd been made a Whitelighter after her death.
A tad bit on the sadistic side, Stephanie stifled small stuttering giggles when Annie walked in and gasped at her sitting there, on the counter. "God Steph, you trying to give me a heart attack. Wait why are you here alone anyway?" The words were stern, but Annie's tone was not. It was funny how no-one could ever be stern, or be stern for too long when Stephanie was around them. She shrugged and crossed her legs at the ankles, leaning back on the counter a little and tilting her head to one side. "I only just got here!" She pouted back at her Charge in a jokey manner. "The Elders told me to find out some information about the Darklighter that attacked me; because I provoked her a little too much, and sent me down here." Stephanie smiled and brushed her hair out of her eyes. "Plus they needed space and I was bouncing around like a rabbit on valium, or something along those lines, actually I don't know what valium is, it's a pretty neat word though; I should find out what it means. Do you know what it means? Or what it is?" Probably not a good idea to tell her the truth about that Annie. "But uhm, nevermind about that at the moment; what do you know of Hailey the Darklighter, other then the fact that she has a magic apple slash arrow slash killing object for Whitelighters such as myself and Leo and Paige...?"

* want to break the ice, LETS MAKE IT NICE, ••••••••••• annie couldn't quite hold in her smile at stephanie on the counter. it was definitely a sight to be remembered. the poor lass never looked entirely comfortable this was probably due to the fact she was like a live wire. constantly buzzing around the place. it was almost as if she had a constant feed of sugar pumping into her or some other substance that had a similar effect. annie's eyes stayed fix on her and she made herself even more at home on the counter. luckily this time there were no pots or pans around that miss stephanie could knock over, like previous visits. although its rare that anything in the manor stays in place for what more than five mintues. actually five minutes may even be pushing the limit there. mentally shaking off the breaking thoughts, annie stepped further into the ktichen there was very little she could actually do from the sidelines, except gaze in and that wasn't the most exciting thing to be doing, was it really? steph's response to her comment made me her mimics the pout she was given. " anyone would think you're stalking me, missy." then the ramble came and annie knew she was in for an explosive brain overload.
"a darklighter attacked you!? the colour briefly drained from annie's usual rosey cheeks. she knew what darklighters were like and she didn't want anything to happen to her stephanie. of course annie knew that steph wasn't a posession but still the worry counted over. " you don't say, you're still bouncing here sweetie. however you don't look like no rabbit i know. then again my friendship group with rabbits is very limited my friend." annie conceeded avoiding the valium comment all together, steph would probably forget she asked the question during her next monologue of babble. "hailey? you know its name, thats an achievement in itself. guessing its a female ..." she began the clogs in her brain beginning to turn as if they were about to solve a jigsaw puzzle. then again magic did somewhat resemble a puzzle, lots of intrecate pieces that need to be put together in a specific way and order otherwise all hell may break loose. the name wasn't the only thing that surprised annie however, it was more steph's description of the apple, arrow thing that did. "darklighters usually can conjure objects and the apple slash thingy as you called it was probably a defence mechanism to shield the surprise of death. some say they carry the touch of death. for your kind thats kinda true." annie continued, not actually knowing this actual darklighter herself.

* a cry of hope, A PLEA FOR PEACE, (and my conscience beating, it's not what i want for, it's all that i need to reach the break of the day). stephanie continued to sit on the counter and look at the potion vials and ingredients that the other halliwell relatives use to make potions and whatnot to fight the evil bad guys! she remembered another time back when a random demon decided to pop up in the middle of the kitchen and no-one had been prepared, so stephanie took it upon herself to wrestle the demon to the floor (getting herself hurt in the process) whilst they whipped up a quick potion and a spell to make him go away. unfortunately the demon seemed to be entertaining stephanie at the time because she was so small and didn't have that much strength at all, but in the end good triumphed over evil and stephanie had been reprimanded by the elders about getting into fights with demons. at least this time none of these incidents were around, it was just annie and herself in a general chit-chat over something important.
"i'm not stalking you! that's such a mean thing to say." stephanie shot annie a fake pout and crossed her arms across her chest in a fake huffing manner. she knew that annie would know when she was joking, but it didn't last for long before she exploded with the babble about the darklighter, holding up her hand to stop annie from going mad the moment she found out what had happened. it was a signal for the younger yet older girl to calm herself and re-cuperate from the shock of the information. "always bouncing really; like i'm on a constant sugar high or something." the girl mumbled with a bemused expression on her face. then it was time to get serious again. she knew that annie would avoid the valium question which was wise, there was no need to scare the little whitelighter away from the humans any more than was necessary. "i was brave and kind of reckless, she threw it at me; though i think she deliberately made it look like she didn't throw it intentionally, but still, it was aimed at me, but i orbed out of the way before it hit me. do you think we could get more information about the darklighters from the book of shadows?" she asked, curious to learn more about the darklighters, or specifically the one that had attacked her. "as soon as i find out a little more information on her, i have to go straight back up to the elder's and report to them my findings. then i'm yours for the rest of the day." stephanie smiled over at her friend and charge, brushing her hair out of her eyes. it was beginning to show that she was tired in her eyes, but that wasn't going to stop her. "i thought that maybe, perhaps we could work on what happened to me before i became a whitelighter, if you wanted." maybe annie knew this information but wasn't allowed to divulge it to her.

* want to break the ice, LETS MAKE IT NICE, ••••••••••• placing her hand on the counter slightly annie found a comfortable leaning position one she had picked up from her mom over the years. the gentle lean using your fist as a head rest. surprisingly it was pretty comfy even if it did look like a balancing act of pure and utter agony. yes agony. watching stephanie's glances across the kitchen, annie could tell she was eyeing up the potions and vials once more. it wasn't like they changed much between visit, but stephanie was a law un to herself this much had always been clear. "still stalking i say. and aww mean dang i was going for ferocious." annie joked back in a down to earth mannerism. annie just loved the way that herself and stephanie could have well bonding time like this even if it was in the form of petty pouting at one and other or bantering about the most randomist of topics. that should really be their motto. 'random is the best foot forward' or something more creative than that but you get the pretty picture now. "and we wouldn't have you any other way sugar plum fairy. i mean angel." annie self corrected in hope of avoiding the dead stare of being called a fairy rather than a guardian angel sort of thing. then came the rambling, the ramble annie had grown to love over the last few vistis. okay perhaps not so much love, but get use to at least.
"seesh you should really breath between monologues babe, well actually you don't really have to but for my mental state please? anywho back to your points. you're lucky you orbed out in time and sure we can look, although of recent not all individuals are listed. they're more of a collective but i can see what we have perhaps, mom or someone's met her before. i'm still in shock you know her name name." annie explained but took the odd breath unless stephanie who just really did reel it all off without any hesitation to breathing or looking somewhat normal. "i'm sorry but they are slave drivers up there i swear without actually cussing but yeah. but at least you'll be mine for the rest of the day. i don't even know the time but still yay." it was true annie had lost track of time right about now among other things she had lost during the few hours she'd been somewhat more alert. "if we get time we could. you look tired are you sure the darklighter is the only thing bothering you?" annie asked precariously she was under strict orders to limit stephanie's knowledge of her background but soon enough the girl was going to find out, annie was just hoping the elders would be kind enough to let her be the one to say.
