Fallon sighed, closing the novel she had in her hands. She'd finally finished reading a book on witchcraft, though had found nothing in the pages' contents worth while. Odd since her family was known to use such material against the many witches they'd killed off. And this why I've become neutral. I see no reason to pick a fight with people who haven't done anything to me. Sighing, the twenty-year-old stood up from her orange-cooper couch, and stepped past her circular coffee table and shoved the gold-spine book back into one of the many bookshelves.
The brunette stomach growled at her, and one of hands slipped under her Easter-colored, plaid top and rubbed along her span of star tattoos under her navel. "Ugh. I guess I should fulfill this stomach's need for green." she commented aloud to herself, back stepping and she turned to head out of the room.
Waving "goodbye" to her goldfish, Bubbles, the young woman roamed down the long hallway and turned past her sleeping wolf dog, Balto, and entered the kitchen. She found all her feline buddies: Oreo, Jasper, Ireland and Sparta romping around in the middle of the floor together. Fallon giggled, covering her mouth to hide the wide smile that had spread across her porcelain profile. "You all are crazy kitties." she murmured to them, young Sparta's head bobbing up and staring his wide eyes up at his human mother.
She opened the fridge door, and grabbed a pre-made salad and closed the white rectangle back up. Picking up a fork out of the utensil drawer, the shapeshifter headed back out. Eventually she found herself in her bedroom, stopping to feed her pet mouse, Jinx, a bit of lettuce. "Eat up, Jinxy." he whispered, turning to face her bed.
What the...?
Hazel orbs blinked at the crimson red rose placed perfectly on her white bed spread. A few pieces of rose littering around the single floor like some kind of cheesy romance movie set up. "Atticus..." she spoke under her breath, side glancing both ways before her eyes narrowed. The woman groaned, setting her food down on the bed, and picked up the rose. She huffed, though her heart felt like it may explode at any moment at how sweet this was. "Damnit. Atticus!!" she called out, turning her attention up to the ceiling.

Atticus smiled some as he glanced around the familiar room. He had spend several nights here, although not sleeping like he would prefer. No he was just here standing by the window watching a certain beautiful girl dream the night away. He knew it was wrong but really couldn’t help it, Fallon Hale had him feeling like nobody had never made him feel before. He had heard about it, darklighters falling in love with their charge, but never in his life had he even dreamed about the same thing happening to him. He was a darklighter, a damn good one at that too, he had quite the number of kills on his name. Both witches and whitelighters alike. It was frustrating him to no end really.
He stepped forward making sure not to make any sound that might alert Fallon. Holding his hand out he conjured a crimson rose and placed it on the bed. Just a nice surprise for her to walk into later. Conjuring a few more paddles he let them fall to the floor surrounding the bed. He could be quite the romantic guy if he wanted too, and he was after all trying to sway Fallon, so what better way to do so then to be like this to her right ? Smirking he stepped back and admired his work for a second. He was quickly alerted as he heard movement coming his way. Orbing out instantly he smirked, knowing he would not be gone for long.
He laughed as seconds later his suspicions were confirmed. Orbing back out he orbed to the spot he had been standing earlier. “You rang?” He said amused, noticing she was holding the rose. “Ah I see you’ve found your surprise, like it?” He looked her in the eyes trying to see what she was thinking, ah how much he wished he could read her mind right now.

The young woman gasped lightly, turning to face the darklighter and nearly tripped backward over her own feet. Christ! I hate when he appears behind me. she reminded herself, hazel eyes narrowing as she studied the man. "There a reason why you left this here?" she asked him, glancing down from his entrancing blue eyes to the rose she held in her hand. Like it?
Fallon shrugged her shoulders, hesitantly lifting her eyes back up to the older of the two for a quick second before glancing around her bedroom. "I guess it's pretty." she murmured, moving to place it on top of her dresser. "Though the cheesy mock-romance movie set up was....?" The shapeshifter shook her head, signaling him with a simple hand motion not to answer the question.
"What made you think you could come into my home without me calling for you?" she asked him, crossing her arms over her chest. Fallon dared herself to look back up into his eyes, but when she did a squeak came out. When did it become so hard to look Atticus in the eyes? To show the man that he did not intimidate her? Actually, it wasn't that he made her nervous. It was the fact that she knew, but would never admit out loud, she had feelings deep inside of her heart held for her darklighter.
And my future husband would kill me if he knew what I felt for Atticus. Hell, Atticus and Roach would both kill me if they knew I liked a human as well. She sighed, and mentally shook her head. No need to be bothered with those thoughts right now. In time she would make her decision.
"You must have had some other reason to come besides to pathetically put a rose on display for me." she commented. "So shoot. What is it? Did my father or Daemon send you?" Fallon grimaced, and absently rubbed along a section of her back where half of a long scar could be found. One she'd received from her older brother in a fight. A brawl that was only started because Daemon loathed his sister for whatever reasons. Whether it was because she was neutral or if it was because of some other reason Fallon wasn't sure. "Whatever it is, Atticus. Make it quick. I have a normal life to get back to, okay?"

Atticus had to hold back a laugh as he noticed her jump by his sudden appearance. That happened every single time he would do that, it was amusing to him how even after all this time he could still surprise her like that. “I thought it would be a nice surprise.” He said shrugging, answering her question. Noticing her constantly trying to avoid looking him in the eyes he chuckled some. He knew that his eyes could be intimidating, hell he made use of it a lot. He saw it as another gift. Watching her as she continued talking he mentally took note to leave her more roses.
Raising an eyebrow at her question he acted hurt. “What are you saying babe.” He smirked some holding his head to the side. “I’m not welcome ?” He chuckled again, even more amused as a squeak escaped her lips. He wondered what it was that made her unable to look at him though, was she nervous, or just trying to hide something from him. “Fallon will you look at me.” He said, his tone serious. He felt somewhat hurt that she would think anyone that send him. He didn’t get along too well with her father or brother, especially not her brother. “Nobody send me to do this.” He walked closer to her until he was standing right in front of her. “And I find it ridiculous that you would think I would do this as an order from your brother or father, I’m not some dog.”
Not backing away he took a deep breath taking in her sweet scent. “Maybe I was just in a good mood and I wanted to surprise you ?” He narrowed his eyes a little bit placing his hand on the side of her face, forcing her to look at him this time. “And I don’t get what the big problem about that is.” He looked threatening almost, a look in his eyes showing not to mess with him right now. He had known Fallon for ages so knew perfectly when the brunette was lying, she was like an open book to him. So now, he was curious about her next reply.

"Well..." she started to speak, but her voice quickly died off. "Surprise!!!" she sarcastically cheered, "You got me." Fallon hadn't meant to sound so cruel, but it wasn't like she believed he'd do this kind of thing unless he wanted something from her. So what is it that he wants? she wondered, mentally stroking her chin and trying to pin point his intentions out.
The girl huffed, and shook her head, "I'm not saying that, but seeing as how this isn't your home.. Wouldn't you think it to be more politer if you asked to stop by?" And there she went with her "nice stuff" mumbo jumbo. Like Atticus loved hearing that crap. Honestly, the twenty-year-old knew it steamed her darklighter's nerves when she asked him or told me to be nice. Or anything else along the lines of "good." "And I'm not your babe." she added firmly. "I will never be that."
Denying those feelings again aren't we? You should be ashamed of yourself.
Fallon growled low at herself, and then found herself snarling at the older of the two. She didn't want to look at him. To look into those dreamy eyes of his, and fall deeper into the spell he'd been putting her under. They weren't meant to be together, pure and simple. She never liked the idea that she'd possibly end up like the rest of the millions of people who'd fallen in love with their whitelighter or darklighter. Just another charge dazzled by their hypnotic spell.
Finally, the shapeshifter gave up and glared into his eyes with a look that threatened him to continue messing with her. She could be just as equally dangerous as him, and she felt she was just a bit better than the darklighter. Fallon giggled devilishly, and rolled her eyes, "Could've fooled me, Atticus. Sometimes I swear you're nothing but a little puppet on strings when it comes to Father and Daemon."
Again she laughed, the same menacing tone flowing from her pale rose-colored lips. "The problem is that you don't need to go out of your way to treat me special when you want something from me. Just come out with it, Atticus. Being blunt is one of your more useful traits." She dared move her eyes away from him, breaking the contact like ripping through paper; it was easy and quick. "Now get off of me." she growled, shoving him away from her, hands rubbing up and down her arms.
"Now what is it that you are trying to get out of me, Atti-dearest?" the woman asked. "I don't see why you are even trying when you know that my answer is more than likely going to be 'no.'"

Atticus rolled his eyes some at his charge. “Shall I get you a dog whistle?” He snapped, he was starting to get so sick of being treated like her personal slave. Her next comment sort of stung but he was smart enough not to show it. “Sure babe” he said just to piss her off. “Whatever you say.” He was not going to give up on her, he knew he just had to keep trying. Never give up.
He couldn’t help but smirk at her attempt to avoid looking him in the eyes. He found it very amusing to have such a power over her, and of course he took full advantage of it. His smirk was completely wiped of his face though by her next reply. A snarl escaped his lips as he tried to control his anger, his eyes burning with rage. “Don’t you fucking start that Fallon.” He said sounding very dangerous. He had protected her from her brother without her knowing more then once now, and this was his thanks, maybe next time he should just let the idiot get her.
He simply concentrated on trying to calm don’t a bit as she continued talking, ignoring what she was saying. He couldn’t ignore her pushing him away though and something inside of him just snapped. Grabbing her wrists he had her pinned against the wall in just a few seconds time. Holding her hands tightly above her head he made sure she couldn’t get away. “Maybe I’m sick of asking you for everything.” He growled, his face just inches apart from hers. “Especially since I know you want this just as much as me, I can see it in your eyes.” He added to her shaking his head some.

And as if she couldn't get any more sarcastic, the brunette smirked and replied with, "Yes. A dog whistle would be lovely." Cynically batting her eyelashes at her darklighter, Fallon added, "At least then I could invite you here whenever I'm okay with it." Of course, the shapeshifter was expecting Atticus to continue the 'babe' thing. Even if only for one more time, just in spite of her. This was one of many things that annoyed the hell out of Fallon about Mr. Von'Indi.
Just before he snarled at her, the twenty-year-old felt the atmosphere grew tense. More so than it already had been. Fallon softly growled at him under her breath, low like a tigress getting ready to attack at any moment. He did not scare her, if that's what he thought. It was only when she looked into those gorgeous eyes did her head start to spin and the confusion set in.
The next thing she knew, Atticus roughly pinned her to the wall behind her, sparking and releasing a small whimper of pleasure. She was, or used to be, an evil shapeshifter. Of course pain was going to be one thing that was a total turn-on for her. Damnit. Fucking asshole! her mind roared. Each set of digits twitched under his grasp, and even though she knew it was pointless, she started to riggle in the darklighter's hold. Suddenly, laughter trickled out from the younger of the two, "Asking me for things? Pfft! Atticus, you fucking moron, you hardly ever ask me for shit." More giggles proceeded to flow out, and Fallon humorously shook her head at the twenty-five-year-old.
"Ha! Don't make me laugh anymore than I already have." she told him, lifting her hazel orbs to his own blue-green ones. For the moment, his eye-trance had no effect on her, not even as her eyes shifted into the crystal-clear white color. "Now." her tone warning him, both palm transforming into their huge tiger paws with long nails. "Get. Off of me." With as much force as she had, Fallon pushed the darklighter off of her with her foot, setting her paws free as she sliced into the fresh flesh.
She was angrier than she thought, and without thinking, the shapeshifter tossed her darklighter further backward into the opposite wall from herself, creating a huge hole in the wall. "Look what you made me do, Atticus!" she shouted, shifting fully into her tiger form. She snarled loudly, creeping around in front of the man and preparing to pounce him at any moment. Her white tiger eyes kept locked on him, claws out and teeth bared. Make your move, bastard.
