Parker went up to the door of the Halliwell Manor it had been years yet remembered by heart where to go with a smile ran the door bell. He had a dozen white roses in his hand and had worn blue jeans with a dress white shirt to make a good impression. The young merman remembered that she lived here and hoped at least they might know what had happened to her. When he looked up it was sunny and was thankful for it because if it had been rainy then no way would this have been happening. It had taken a lot of nerve to come this far and yet thought this was the perfect opportunity and with a smile waited for someone to answer.
He would have to keep his little secret yet couldn't stop from becoming a wreck when thinking of her and hoped that she wasn't with someone else. When he heard noises the merman prepared for meeting of the family or Annie who knew what person would answer with such a big family. The one thing that he envied about all Halliwell's we're their close family and having someone always there for them. While breathing he tried to control breaths when nervous sometimes his powers would flare up and didn't need to blow out their front door.

* your skin upon my skin, WOULD BE THE SWEETEST SIN, ( it would feel so good to be so bad, you don't know how bad i want that). stress was usually a thing annie could deal with however just lately it seemed to be getting more and more on top of her. she would've given anything to be able to put everybody on mute but alas that wasn't possible, well it was if we were being technical she just didn't have the guts to actually go through with it. the haunting words of personal gain often arose when this thought even crossed annie's mind. she had just recently tried a spell to bring herself some M&Ms or skittles but that hadn't gone down too well, when she said she wanted to taste the rainbow she didn't mean it quite so literally as the many rainbows that appeared in the sky that day, lets just say the leprechuans were quite cheesed off that the trails to their pots of gold were made so, so visible to the mortal eye and even more so to dwellers of evil. annie of course reversed her spell once she became aware of the consequences, however was it really such a big deal that every once in a while a spell could perhaps go without any reprecushions? she guessed so since the halliwells never did have much luck when it came to getting or doing something for themselves just to make each other happy. glancing around the living room precariously, annie let out a small sigh, it never stayed this quiet for long and she knew it all to well.
that was when she heard it. the knock at the door. she knew it was definitely something human or mostly human you could never be entirely sure since most of their attackers didn't take the courtesy of knocking on the front door. blasting it in maybe or down but never knocking. rising from the sofa where she was seated, annie kicked her shoes back on and made her way around the furniture, mostly. she did as per usual run into something giving herself yet another bruise to her ever growing collection. some things never change from the youthful annie halliwell, she wasn't the most balanced girl in the world. infact if there was an award for most accident prone child in the family, annie would probably scoop it no doubt. finally reaching the door handle, something made annie pause. more importantly she was stopped for a reason. moments after touching the handle and beginning to turn it she was hit by a premonition, well more of a flash back if she was honest.
two young children with there backs to her we sat giggling in golden gate park, the little girl was clearly memorized by the boy as they took each others hands and skipped off into the distance. annie blinked as realisation hit her, that little girl was none the other but her very self and her old neighbour parker. what stiffled annie the most was why now? why had that premonition come to her just then what significance did it hold? shaking her head a little she gasped remembering that she was meant to be answering the door. clutching the handle a little more she finally opened the door and stepped into the light. her eyes marvelled on the person before her. familiarity struck. she wanted to say her usual hello, yet no words came. all of a sudden annie silver halliwell was rendered speechless.

"Annie, " asked Parker with a smile as the door opened to reveal a brown headed woman and was no other then his friend? He said, "It's me Parker," and with a smile just went to held out the flowers waiting for her to take them it really was a great day. Parker would recognize her anywhere and couldn't get over the look of shock that seemed to adorn Annie's face. She had grown up to look very beautiful and seemed to have recognized him then just waited for her to say something. When he had noticed that there was nothing coming out from her mouth it was then that with a smile just hugged her.
"Well, you seem a bit shocked I know it's been a long time," said Parker and with a slight grin stepped back she really had grown into a beautiful woman. He had always liked her more then just friends and had come back to see what could happen. The young hybrid had learned long ago to seize everything and with his new life wanted to have a little joy in it. "Annie say something," said Parker with a laugh and noticed how the Manor still seemed beautiful.

* your skin upon my skin, WOULD BE THE SWEETEST SIN, ( it would feel so good to be so bad, you don't know how bad i want that). although she heard her name, annie's mind wouldn't register it straight away. now the preminition made more sense. trying to control the look on her face, annie relaxed her features into a small smile, her usual friendly smile to newcomers to the door. not that this person was exactly a newcomer to her life. seeing the flowers infront of her another wave of shock engulfed her, but this time she didn't let it show ... too much anyway. still speechless she gracefully took them, as he was obviously willing her to do so. first of all she didn't expect to see her childhood ever again, well it had been what eight years and now here he was and with flowers too. annie was what you could call memorized by the very thought of it all. was she dreaming? well the answer to that was no, the hug that followed the flowers soon confirmed this. she nodded gently to his next comment, it had indeed been a long time, perhaps too long. but then again what more did annie expect? the day his family left she couldn't stop them, she didn't even know what she felt about him for sure. but now some of those emotions are returning and this time taking no prisoners.
"it has..." she then went on to mutter as he stepped back as if to admire her looks, which she found quite uncomfortable. usually it wouldn't bother her, but holla the boy had just appeared back in her life. shocking much? hearing his next comment, distracted her mind from trying to piece everything together. she had many questions including, why now? when did he even get here? why didn't he call ? all natural questions but she wasn't about to bombard him with all them " thats easy for you to say, you're not the one who's just had someone they thought they'd never see again stood on your doorstep. well she spoke but that probably wasn't what he was expecting. a small smirk however crossed annie's lips, she had always been the demanding one in the friendship, commenting like she had just done. changing her tone of voice, she leaned against the door frame before giggling slightly. "parker o'ryan where have you been all my life?" after she said that, she just hoped he hadn't changed his name or anything. that would be weird.

He smiled handing the flowers to her and said, "I've come back to find you," appreciating that she seemed excited to see him. Parker smiled at her then asked, "Well, can I come in," laughing a little at Annie's tone because she really seemed suprised to see him? The young merman just waited as it seemed some clouds we're comig up and needed to get inside before it started to rain. He couldn't really risk couldn't caught in the rain and had to look a little anxious from looking out at black clouds. While he did think back to how many times they had played on this porch and got into so much trouble. His parents had no right to move him away from here and vowed never to leave her again.
"You look beautiful," said Parker with a smile and just waited impatiently for her to agree to let him in as rain started to come down. The merman didn't know what else to do it was almost like living a double life with being a merman in the ocean and trying to have a normal life on land. While rain started to pour down he just breathed trying to make himself relax and couldn't help it not wanting her to find out this secret.

* your skin upon my skin, WOULD BE THE SWEETEST SIN, ( it would feel so good to be so bad, you don't know how bad i want that). annie blinked in a moment of pure and utter daze when he said he has come back to find her. a part of it made her feel special, something she hadn't felt in a long time. infact she had felt special in what seemed to be a lifetime not since this whole your sibling and cousins are turning evil and there's nothing you can do about it shit started happening. smiling a little she nodded fainted "i can see this ... i mean you don't just stand on a doorstep for anybody i'm sure." she replied almost with a hint of remisce in her thoughts. she was however trying her hardest not to let it take her too much because she wouldn't want another overwhelming preminition to take over her especially infront of parker who had no idea about magic or at least she didn't think he did. but then again with the speed his family moved him out, this was debatable. as well as calming her thoughts annie worked on her other power of empathy she didn't want to tap into her old friends emotions, well not yet anyway the whole personal space thing can apply to this too. hearing his request to come in, annie glanced breifly behind her , she was pretty certain the house was empty but she couldn't know for sure as things within the manor are constantly changing either for better or worst, of course not in the martial sense. if she ever took those vows in her own life, she'd stick for just the better she needed something stable, something good.
just as she was about to answer he question, the words that came from his mouth next stopped her generally. he thought she was beautiful? sure she'd heard the comment before from guys she dated or even the odd person she had been sent to help find love but never did she imagine she'd hear those words from him. gulping unnoticably she stepped aside from the door, making room for him to slide in as the clouds outside were beginning to look extreme ominious. "t-thanks ..." she stuttered a little, well he had caught her off guard what three times now? "you don't look too bad yourself and yes you can come in, before the porch gets soaked and you for that matter." she exclaimed lightly not trying to sound as shocked as before. luckily enough for annie she had cleaned most of the magical stuff away before answering the door and the remaining crystals that were out could be explained as decorative pieces. she did have quite the imagination when it came down to it.

Parker had to smile at her then walked into a hallway that looked all to familar and at that moment it started to pour down rain. He didn't really have anything against rain except one thing that one drop would cause him to change and couldn't risk her thinking freak. The merman waited for her to say something else and noticed how everything was still ancient looking. "This place hasn't changed at all," said Parker as he looked at her smiling and couldn't get over how she had changed. Annie still reminded him the girl with pigtails that would get them into trouble and he would gladly taken the blame. When he noticed few crystals laying around the young merman asked, "What is up with the crystals,"?
The memories of things handed down from generation to generation seemed to appear in his mind and used to remember loving this house. He loved things we're old compared to his house growing up that was all about new things. Parker loved old things and turned to Annie saying, "Nothing has changed," loving how a few things stayed the same. "So what have you been up to," asked Parker with a smile and then waited running a hand through his hair?

* your skin upon my skin, WOULD BE THE SWEETEST SIN, ( it would feel so good to be so bad, you don't know how bad i want that). annie's eyes followed him as he stepped right past her into the hallway just before the heavens opened so to speak. of course annie knew the heavens didn't purposely chuck rain down on unexpected citizen's or those that liked to say 'i'm not a citizen , i'm a rebel' whoever and whatever they are didn't really matter when the rain came pooring down. she found herself nodding conscientiously to his statement about nothing changing. it was true in most cases the only thing that seemed to change in halliwell manor was the people who lived there. generation after generation will continue to age through this house but the building itself never loses its charm, no matter how many times bits of it get blow to pieces. "nope and i don't think it ever will." annie conceeded before setting her eyes on the crystals that her thoughts were on earlier, she smiled slightly before going to answer his question. "effy, my sister you remember her? is abit obsessed with them so likes to decorate the house with them. sometimes i think she uses them to trip me up, me being the oldest of us three and all." annie was quite please with that excuse, who knew maybe one day she'd be able to too tell him the truth, just like she had with marie. gently kicking the nearest crystal she broke the protective invisible gage that was originally activated, as much as she belived parker would go through seemlessly she didn't want to be held responsible for electrocuting her old friend.
" the house hasn't changed but the people in it have. we've all grown up, well perhaps not all of us." annie exclaimed trying not to go down the 'my sister is evil' route. she glanced up meeting his gaze for a moment before averting it. even after all these years she still felt as if she was melting in his eyes when she looked at him directly. "well that depends if you mean what have i been up to the last few years or today?" it was a rhetorical question of sorts, it would take a while to think of how to explain the last few years in a way that wouldn't scare him off. whereas describing today she could probably manage if he pushed her on the subject. " would you like to sit down?" she asked looking over to the sofa knowing she'd feel alot more comfy there and there wouldn't be the prospect of falling over or embarrassing her shocked self any further.

Parker took a seat then asked, "What have you been up to," with a smile then noticed how the different pictures had changed with people growing up. He waited for her to say something and thought back to all his own life had changed in many ways. The young merman didn't know of other types of magic except for other merpeople that he'd meet out in the ocean. It ws few times that he had meet them and had educated him on his powers allowing him to have almost full control. Merpeople usually had powers nature based that helped due to the fact they we're usually always around the ocean.
When he looked at her thought of pigtails and a tomboy approached his mind and pushed it back enjoying the vision of Annie. "I've been in Maine," said Parker with a smile then noticed how things seemed just the same all those years ago. He was a little nervous and was interested to see if she was with someone because that is one of many reason that Parker had come back.

* your skin upon my skin, WOULD BE THE SWEETEST SIN, ( it would feel so good to be so bad, you don't know how bad i want that). annie watched as he took the seat she had offered him. sitting beside him she listened as he repeated the original question without any changes. looks like not everything changes, sometimes as a kid annie used to think parker had selective hearing, that thought still stands just now. "oh this and that. the usual. i've done abit of travelling, like my mom i've taken a job in which i help people, so yeah it figures." annie stated unsure what she could actually tell him. the travelling was an understatement, annie could be anywhere in a beat of a heart due to that special ring on her finger, that through the generations the ring has got less buldgy and more blend-in-able. annie's suggestion infact, she didn't want to be made to stand out because of a ring she'd rather stand out all of her own accord, nothing else's. if he wanted to know the nature of her job she could easily refer to it as relationship counselling because that was basic what it was when you think about it. a cupid is just there to push people in the right direction very much like a counseller. truth enough sometimes it doesn't always work but the aid will always be there for the taking.
finding herself glancing around the living room, her eyes settled on an old photo a very old photo. so old infact she had even forgot when it had been taken but it contained herself and some of the other halliwell kids as well as parker himself. the good times of then were long gone but now was there a chance for new good times? she wondered. "have you never thought about coming back here sooner? i kinda thought you'd forgotten about everything we ..." she paused unsure if to say what she was going to, afraid it would sound too much like a guilt trip. " ... had as kids." she finished alot shorter than what she could've said but still a point was made. she did feel somewhat abandoned when he was gone, surely he could've got in contact somehow. then again perhaps the friendship he saw with them was different to how she saw it all them years ago.

"I meant to it's just that," said Parker caught a litle off guard by that question and ran a hand through his hair deceiding it was best to rell her. Parker said, "My parents died in a car crash a few years ago and you know life happens,". "I'm sorry if you wanted me to come back sooner and didn't," said Parker wondering if maybe he should have not come afterall. "I never forgot it's just that there have been recent complication," said Parker getting up ready to leave. "Annie it was good seeing you I shouldn't have come it's been too long," said Parker as he got up to leave.
He felt like a idiot coming here after all these years and wanting them to start as friends again along with his secret. "I'm sorry Annie," said Parker as he started walking to the door it was stupid to come here and expect to be friends again. Parker was glad that it had stopped raining then he could get away without any problems and not bother her again.

* your skin upon my skin, WOULD BE THE SWEETEST SIN, ( it would feel so good to be so bad, you don't know how bad i want that). Annie wasn’t sure what she was expecting to hear from Parker. Did she want him to say he was sorry for leaving? Did she know exactly why his parents had took him from her life or did she really just want him to be how they used to be? The answers to all these questions were she didn’t know. Annie didn’t know what she wanted to hear from him. Sure some sort of explanation would be nice but who was she to really ask? She was ultimately a nobody in his life for the last seven or so years. “That’s terrible I’m so sorry, I shouldn’t have asked and I know life happens, but … actually no buts I was wrong to ask.” Annie responded almost shunning herself for the situation. “I didn’t want anything to be honest. I thought you were never coming back. When you left my life that was it or so I thought. You shouldn’t be saying sorry when it’s not your fault.” She exclaimed with all the honesty she could muster for it. “I believe you … sometimes even if you want to forget something or someone you can’t. I should know …” she answered his comment before a look of dismay hit her as he got up and said something about not coming. Chewing on her lip she didn’t know how to act or what to say it was happening too fast for her mind to comprehend any sort of movement. “Don’t you dare say you shouldn’t have come. You’ve always been welcome in this house and you always will be. You have never left my thoughts or my heart even after all this time.” Once she had said it Annie blushed slightly. The thing about her heart was true but she hadn’t expected it to come out just at that moment. You could even say she surprised herself.
As he started heading to the door, Annie rose to her feet. She wasn’t about to let the only guy in her life that made sense to her, leave that easy. “Parker, don’t go. I can’t watch you leave my life a second time the first time was punishment enough. I may’ve grown, you may’ve grown but aren’t we still the same two kids? I know you remember the memories as clear as I do.” Perhaps saying she knew wasn’t the smartest idea in the world but she really could feel that he too had been remembering stuff just as much as she had. Sometimes empathy was a gift rather than a curse. Walking over to the door to place a firm hand on it to stop him opening it, she looked into his eyes. “If you can tell me, I don’t mean anything to you anymore. I’ll let you leave and be happy in the knowledge it was fun while it lasted and you can now get on with your life. But if you can’t then we both have some proper talking to do. I’m sure you have some questions you’re dying to know the answers too.” The ultimate ultimatum that could either remake or rebreak this relationship, whatever form of relationship it may now be.

"I do like you Annie more then you know and I do have a few questions though they can wait," said Parker as he looked at her then leaned to lightly place a kiss on her lips. He backed away waiting to see her reaction and with a smile took a hand to lead Annie back to the living room knowing there was a lot to talk about. "One question why did my parents rush me away years ago," asked Parker as he looked deep into her eyes? When they had moved way years ago it was very abrupt nd wondered what secret his parents refused to tell him. He had asked many times and given the same answer a resounding no with a sad smile looked at her.
The merman had his own secrets and didn't think that was anywhere close too weird as his secret because who else would have such a weird life. While he awaited an answer the situation made him remeber a times when they we're twelve they had kissed before. He always knew that they we're meant to be together and had to admit that made him smile more. "You know this was meant to happen," said Parker hoping it didn't sound like some line.

* your skin upon my skin, WOULD BE THE SWEETEST SIN, ( it would feel so good to be so bad, you don't know how bad i want that). annie nodded faintly when he said he did have a few questions her mind at first didn't register the fact he had said he does like her. but missing that small detail didn't really matter with the kiss that followed it. confusion, illusion were just some of the feelings annie felt but none of this stopped her slightly reciprocating his kiss. automatic reaction you could say, not that annie went around kissing people often, hell sometimes she wished she did, witnessing the love she does every single day in her job with her gifts. letting him guide her back into the living room she remained silent. he had rendered her speechless once more for the moment. "i can't answer that on behalf of your parents, they have their reasons, some of which i may not be able to guess. but you know what some people say about this house ... don't you?" first annie wanted to know what kind of rumours he remembered and if he believed them before devulging into the reality of things.
how do you tell someone what you are without scaring them away a second time, annie wondered to herself. telling marie what she was, was alot easier than she thought but annie was pretty sure telling a guy would be harder than a girl, no matter what history the two had together. "well.." annie started unsure where to go or what to say. a part of her wanted to walk round in circles until she was dizzy then perhaps just perhaps all this would make a little bit of sense to her. she didn't ask for much but a reality check was probably needed. "... thats beside the point, you did that on purpose." she mumbled the kiss had really thrown her. of course her body was yerning for it but she hadn't expected it just then. letting her fingers curled around his hand a little she then smiled. yes smiled before talking with some honesty. "but thats not a bad thing, you don't know how much i needed that." she stated turning to face him, letting the sincerity in her eyes glow.

"I would hear strange noises when I was here years ago and how different people seem to disappear around here," said Parker in response to her question. He always wondered about the different things that went on yet accepted them because he valued Annie as a friend. Parker didn't really care if there some big secret because he discovered he still had feelings for her. While he thought about it then asked, "What was really going on all those years ago," while looking at her it was good to come clean. His own secret was something that he would tell if came down to it yet she couldn't know that most days we're spent in water.
The young merman deceided for a moment to say, "If you can tell me yours then I'll tell you mine," with a smile that had a kidding tone. "Come on it can't be that bad," said Parker with a smile and didn't know how she would take his secret. While contemplating how she would take it he just got comfortable and waited for the Annie to say something. He waited for what seemed like forever when she seemed to be debating something and vowed to take any news well.
